Sonora resident Cynthia "Cindy" Kenyon died January 20, 2012 at her home.  She was 55.  Born in Los Angeles to John and Marilyn Baker, she worked as a waitress in Southern California where she raised her daughter.

Cindy had lived in the Sonora area for 16 years.  She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 3154, where she served as president in 2002 and held several other positions as well.  She enjoyed all kinds of music.

Cindy is survived by her parents, John and Marilyn Baker of Jamestown; daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Larry Knutson of Ben Lomond; grandchildren, Patrick, Connor, and Garrett Brooks, all of Ben Lomond; and siblings, Dale Baker (SPHS '72) of Keizer, Oregon, and Debra and husband Jack Lorino, of Las Vegas.  Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kenyon.
