January 5, 1957 - August 16, 2022
I am sorry to report that our friend and classmate, Peter Mark, has passed away. I was so happy to see Pete for what turned out to be the last time at the Grand Reunion picnic in June 2022. I gave him a big hug! He shared that he had been struggling with ALS and although he could still walk, he was experiencing extensive impairment. He knew his time left was short, but I had no idea how short. Peter was a Cowboy at heart and I'm told he loved his horse as much as anything in life. Enjoy endlessly long and beautiful rides in the Great Prairie in the Sky, my friend!

So sorry to hear the news of Peter's passing. After graduation in 1975, Peter and I were the only two Tigers (I believe) who headed north to college at what was then Humboldt State University, now Cal Poly Humboldt. Upon arrival Peter was the only person I knew on campus. We both shared a love of skateboarding and Humboldt had some really wide gently sloped walkways around campus. I fondly remember many evening, when it wasn't raining, skateboarding with Peter. During that time we were the only two we ever saw riding the concrete swells around campus. After college graduation I lost touch with Peter. I will now always remember him gracefully carving turns down those wide, white ribbons of concrete coming down from Founder's Hall. Love ya buddy!
