Save the Date!!!!

August 14, 15 and 16, 2015

Please save the date of August 14, 15 and 16, 2015 for our 40th SPHS Class of ’75 Reunion! Please also give cheers for Jody Lucas Berglund and Susan Tebo who have agreed to help steer the planning for our event this coming year. We found a fantastic event facility, the Sofia Room at the Noor in Old Town Pasadena.  It is centrally located in Pasadena—and it is spectacular! For those of you flying in from other parts of the country the Noor is located at 260 East Colorado Blvd., within a couple of blocks of the Westin, Sheraton and Hilton hotels.  We have many fun things in the works, including a potential "Friday Night Lights" flag football game/chess match followed by a cocktail party, a Saturday Golf tournament, a Saturday Night dinner dance and a Sunday picnic.

We are scheduling a planning meeting shortly after the first of the year to recruit volunteers for various aspects of the reunion weekend.  Another email will be coming your way soon with the time and place for our planning meeting. Everyone is welcome! Please RSVP and let us know if you can join us.  We look forward to seeing you in August at the Reunion!

What: Class of 1975 40th Reunion.

Where: Friday Night Lights pick up football game and cocktail party; Saturday morning golf tournament; Saturday night dinner dance at the Sofia room at the Noor in Old Town Pasadena; and Sunday picnic at Garfield Park.

Why:  To celebrate, remember and enjoy!

When:  The weekend of August 14, 15 and 16, 2015.

Thank you to everyone that participated in making our reunion weekend the best ever.  There are so many people that contributed time and energy into making all of this weekend's events a huge success.

Special thanks to Kathleen Ryan Eastwood (Friday night organization), Jody Lucas Berglund (Saturday night organization), Tavo Olmos and Nick Neutra (Battle of the Bands), Annette Caprice Crutcher Sanders (name tags), Mike and Leanne Cox O'Neill (banner, golf and Fri. setup), Marta Card (slide show), Kim Buckley Vargas (teacher invitations, etc.), Ali Webb Kelbeck (Sat. night decorations), Joe Mainardi (S.P. tour, etc.), Buddy Anderson ("75 Essay" and Mystery Mick), our entire reunion committee, the Molina family, and so many others who stepped up to help out and/or contribute in so many ways.

And even more, thanks to everyone who spent the time, money and energy to join us from all parts of the country and even across the Atlantic.  On Saturday night, as I was running out to re-stock our beverage supplies (which were remarkably depleted by 8:00 p.m.), I remember thinking to myself what a great group of people we have in our class.  You guys are so much fun, from all of the talented musicians who worked so hard to get ready to those came ready to dance dance dance, you're the best!

Please either post your reunion photos on our Class of 1975 FaceBook page or send me your photos by email, CD or memory stick, and we'll get them posted in a place that everyone can see them.

Also, if you would like to relive Saturday night, we still have copies of the great Deep Water Seaweed CD from last March for sale as a benefit for the Chris Fisher Memorial Trust for $17.

Have a great week - if we don't see you sooner, we'll see you in 2015!

Help us out!  Please take a look at the "Missing Classmates" link at the left and help us find someone that you know or knew!  Thank you!

Welcome to the South Pasadena Senior High Class Of 1975 web site!

This is new, but don't be afraid! It's actually kind of fun.

And it's going to be a great way for all of us to stay in touch with one another, update contact information, communicate about reunion planning and events, etc.

All you have to do to join is:

  • Click on the "Classmates Profiles" right below the "Log On" button to the right
  • Click on your name, and
  • Follow the instructions.

It takes less than five minutes and it doesn't require a credit card or anything.

Your information will only be used by the Reunion Committee to stay in touch with you and communicate about upcoming events. You will have control over whether you want other classmates to see your contact information. People who access the site but are not signed up as classmates will not be able to see your profile.

So go ahead -- sign up, join in the fun and start getting in touch again!
