Tell us a little about your life:
After graduating from high school, I followed Coach Solari to Menlo College (along with Dave Simmons), a 2 year liberal arts program, and then I later transferred to the Univ. of San Diego in 1977. In those early years in San Diego, I lived with at one time or another, among others: Craig Kuhlman, Tim Seatrum, Bob Markese and Geoff Gee while partying with UCSD boys of Bob McDaniels, Neal Priest and their roommates Skip Pratt and Rich Edwards. In 1980 I dumped living in male households, moved in with my girlfriend and married her in 1983. Kathy, originally from Redondo Beach, lived next door to me in Mission Beach and wooed me with home cooking, alcohol and other inducements. We’ve been married since.
I’ve been a mortgage broker since 1996 after having spent 12 years with different banks and saving & loans. Being in the mortgage business is like being in the mafia; once you’re in, you can’t get out. Thankfully the Feds look like they’re going to let us survive.
So what have I been up to? I’ve done a lot of youth coaching, working, booster clubs and parenting. My interests have not changed much as I still like a good party, going to the beach, hiking in the desert, playing basketball twice a week and going out drinking with the boys.
